JOSH LUCAS
Josh Lucas
SWEET HOME ALABAMA
You will notice that many thread writers like Josh Lucas, Richard Gere and others have a smooth, easy charm. It is as if they just glide along in natural, uninhibited way. The simple stroke which is not embellished or exaggerated but takes on the linear, flow of comfort usually attests to a strong, confident and yet somewhat illusive nature. Non-traditional, non-conformist, this type of writer, while naturally charismatic does not usually like to be tied down or pinned down to questions. They make their mark when they are ready and are motivated most by the need for freedom of expression. Josh Lucas was especially memorable in SWEET HOME ALABAMA where he wins back his wife after an endearing performance. Yet, even though he did what he could to get her back, he went about it in a cool and commendable fashion that had the audience rooting for him. Never overly emotional in his performance and yet portraying romantic nostalgia in his famous line, "How many people find their soulmate when they are 8."
